AmCham has officially launched its Good Corporate Citizen Award for 2014, at a workshop of support and guidance for this year’s application process. During the event, participants from the 2013 version spoke of their experiences, while the consultancy firm SustentaRSE explained the assessment criteria for applicant programs. The prize forms part of the Sustainability Committee, chaired by Charles Kimber, Director of Corporate Affairs at Arauco. During the launch, Kimber highlighted the importance of this award, now in its 12thversion, which recognizes companies’ social responsibility programs which directly benefit local communities.
Speakers at the launch included the Executive Director of SustentaRSE, Maia Seeger, and the Senior Advisor on Sustainability Management from the same consultancy firm, Eric Latorre, as well as victorious business representatives from certain categories from 2013: Cristián Mosella, Deputy Head of Sustainability at Colbún; Felipe Fuenzalida, Head of Social Responsibility at Endesa; and Karin Eggers, Deputy Head of CSR at Komatsu Cummins Chile.
