Chilean-North American Institute of Santiago modernizes its facilities

With collaboration from the United States Embassy and advice from experts from the Smithsonian Institute, the Chilean-North American Institute of Santiago will soon begin a project to modernize its facilities across the city. The aim of the initiative is to provide the local community with innovative and dynamic environments in which students can fully explore the diversity of the English language, science, technology and culture in all their distinctive forms. The upgrading of its interior spaces consists primarily of installing an information center with distinct technologies and different ways in which to access the various platforms available. In addition, there will be new areas for reading and studying, innovation and collaborative work, an exhibition space for shows and presentations called Art Street and The Steps, as well as a multiuse section in the style of an amphitheater that will act as the meeting point and main part of the Institute used for artistic and academic activities.
