Country managing partner EY Chile

Since January 1, 2018, she assumes the position of principal partner of EY Chile, a position that was assumed for the first time by a woman among the BigFour of our country. Twenty years ago, she joined the Tax Consulting area of EY Chile and for 13 years she became a partner of the firm in the same line of service. She was in charge of advising large international clients, companies listed in the SVS and large private conglomerates. Then she was in charge of the Transaction Tax subline, leading her growth until 2013, the year in which she became the leader in the area of these services. During this time, Macarena led initiatives aimed at increasing gender diversity and a more inclusive culture, results that were reflected in the Great Place to Work survey. She is a lawyer from the University of Chile, part of EY’s Global Diversity & Inclusiveness and Icare’s Finance and Business Circle. She has also been elected four times as one of the “100 women leaders” of the country. She was part of the advisory board of Economics and Business of El Mercurio and had participated as an exhibitor in various conferences in Chile and abroad.
