CEO of Valle Nevado
Ricardo Margulis is the CEO of Valle Nevado, the main ski resort and mountain real estate project in Chile. As an active leader in the Chilean tourism industry, Ricardo has been a member since 2012 of the directory of Turismo Chile, a non-profit organization in charge of promoting Chile internationally, as well as being chairman of the board from 2014 until September 2017. Also, In 2013, he became a member of the board of Fedetur (Federation of Tourism Companies), an organization that represents all tourism associations and major companies in the sector. In this organization he was named president of the Board in September 2017. Prior to VN, Ricardo worked in Ultramar, Banco de Chile and in a family real estate company. He has a degree in Business and Economics from the University of Chile.
Valle Nevado (VN) is a private company owned by Chilean investors, and has four main business areas: winter sports and business related to mountain facilities, rental shops and ski school; accommodation through three hotels and a property management division that rents apartments owned by third parties; food and beverage services offered by six restaurants and three bars; and a real estate business that is managed in the land that the company owns in the mountains. The company has a unique business model, which has allowed it to become the leader of the national ski industry. The company has been transformed into an internationally renowned ski resort with many awards and recognitions, especially in the markets of Brazil, Argentina and North America.
