[:es]En marzo se realizó la Misión Chile-EE.UU.: Redes Inteligentes y Nuevos Modelos de Distribución Eléctrica, la cual fue organizada por AmCham Chile con el apoyo de la Embajada de Chile en Estados Unidos. Esta incluyó la visita a Nueva York y Boston, con el objetivo de explorar nuevas alternativas de distribución eléctrica y conocer las últimas innovaciones tecnológicas, marcos normativos y modelos comerciales en esta materia. La delegación participante estuvo integrada por representantes del sector privado, así como los principales actores de la industria, de manera de abordar conjuntamente el desafío que tiene el país en este ámbito.

Este grupo participó de una completa agenda de reuniones con algunos de los principales organismos y empresas, más reconocidos de Estados Unidos en materia energética, tales como The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA), The New York State Public Service Commission, Consolidated Edison Company (conEdison), Massachusetts Department of Public Utilities (DPU) y MIT Energy Initiative – Utility of the Future.


Participaron representantes de la Comisión Nacional de Energía, la Superintendencia de Electricidad y Combustibles y la Asociación de Empresas Eléctricas, así como de la industria.[:en]In March, the Chile-US mission ‘Smart Grids and New Models of Electric Power Distribution’ was staged by AmCham Chile, with the support of the Chilean Embassy in the United States. The mission included visits to New York and Boston to explore new alternatives for electric power distribution and to gain exposure to the latest technological innovation, regulatory frameworks and commercial models being applied in the field.

Participants took part in an extensive round of meetings with some of the most recognized organizations and companies in the US energy industry, including the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA), the New York Public Service Commission, the Consolidated Edison Company (conEdison), the Massachusetts Department of Public Utilities (DPU), and the MIT Energy Initiative consortium, Utility of the Future.


Participants included representatives of the National Energy Commission, the Superintendence of Electricity and Fuels, and the Chilean Association of Electricity Companies, as well as a number of private sector businesses.[:]
